Emma
Rose is a 31" tall "Vintage Look" doll.
Designed
to duplicate an old doll, who sold on E-Bay in 2003 for about
$5000.00!!!!
She has Gessoed and painted head and hands, and is made from
woven cotton fabric. In addition to the doll parts, the pattern
includes patterns for her dress, pantaloons, slip, chemise,
bonnet and shoes. She wears baby socks...or...if you knit, you
can knit her some socks.
The
clothes are designed to look like the "real" old doll's
clothes, and are a very vintage style. Her bonnet is a "slat"
type, which little girls and women wore to keep the sun from
their faces. Her pattern has 13 pages of step by step directions
and drawings, and 5 pages, front and back, of pattern pieces.
Two pages are in full color.
She has an easy face shading method, using powdered blush. A
method almost anyone can do successfully. It is fun too. Kinda'
like putting make-up on. This is a vintage look doll that makes
a statement and displays beautifully in your home.
I didn't "age" my dolls. I decided to leave them as
if they were what the truly old doll might have looked like,
when it was new in the late 1800s. But if you like the aged
look, of course, you can do that. You can see more pictures
